Alexander McQueen’s New CEO Prepares a Three-Year Plan for Kering

After London, McQueen’s next step is a plan: chief executive Gianfranco D’Attis is finalising a three-year strategy for the house, to present to Kering.

McQueen is turning its return to London into a plan. Gianfranco D’Attis, chief executive since 3 June 2026, is finalising a three-year strategy for the house and will present it to Kering in the coming weeks, built around the two categories he calls the cornerstones of McQueen: tailoring and occasionwear.

● In brief

The plan. D’Attis told Vogue in September that the house is finalising its strategy because it will present it to the group in the coming weeks. The plan sets McQueen’s course for the next three years.

The product. His stated aim is for McQueen to be a leader in tailoring and uncompromising on product quality, with ready-to-wear and shoes well proportioned within the business.

The proof. On 20 September 2026, McQueen returned to the official London Fashion Week schedule for the first time since 2001, and the Savile Row house Huntsman cut three of the men’s looks.

The address. In London, the flagship moves from 27 Old Bond Street to a smaller space on the same street this autumn.

● Why it matters

For Kering, the McQueen plan arrives inside the window of its own reset. The ReconKering programme, presented by Luca de Meo in Florence in April, foresees a structural reset across the group by the end of 2026, and the McQueen strategy will show what that reset means for one house in concrete terms.

Tailoring and occasionwear are where McQueen has its deepest roots, from Lee McQueen’s training on Savile Row to the cut of the Spring/Summer 2027 show. The strategy will show how that competence translates into collections, categories and stores, and the reading on McQueen’s London return traces how the house got here.
